The Care Quality Commission

The practice was formally inspected by The Care Quality Commission on Wednesday 10th June 2015 and we are awaiting the publication of the new report - the partners have seen the draft report and are delighted with the results of the new inspection.  We will share this report with our patients once it has been authorised by the CQC. 

 

The practice had previously been inspected on Monday 2nd June 2014 as part of the Care Quality Commission pilot to test their inspection methods.  The report of their findings can viewed here.  With regard to the compliance action on page 25 of the report this has now been addressed.  The practice changed its recruitment policy to carry out DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks for all staff irrespective of their job role and level of patient contact.  We decided to do this rather than have a mix of DBS checks and in-house risk assessments.  We believe providing a DBS check for all staff provides greater consistency.
